Education
A new graduate from Kenzie Academy via Southern New Hampshire University. Kenzie Academy’s Backend Software Engineering program was co-developed with Amazon Technical Academy to prepare learners to become an Amazon Software Engineer.
This full-time intensive program is 12-months long with the intent to help learners fully grasp materials and concepts than that of a traditional bootcamp. Kenzie Academy is institutionally and regionally accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).
Before I joined Kenzie Academy in April 2022, I was self teaching myself through online courses on Udemy. This was a Full Stack Web Development course by Colt Steele where I learned HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Javascript.
From there on out, I have been programming with Java. My journey into becoming a developer started at my current company, 6sense. As a recruiting coordinator, I have been working alongside recruiters and hiring managers, hiring engineers throughout my career. This naturally got me curious of the Software Engineering domain. That is when I decided to learn something new.
I have always been passionate about technology and its impact in our modern society with its evolving capabilities. But I never knew where to start. I believe I was meant to become a recruiting coordinator to cross paths with engineers to find my fulfilling career, working with technology.
My newly gained skills were recognized at my current job. I was able to help find and recruit new engineering interns! My leaders were so happy and impressed by how fast I was able to recognize the skills we need to hire.
I am extremely excited for what my future holds. I am eager to join a team and help maximize the impact of the technology that is being created with the skills at my disposal. I am happy to share my certificate with you as it is a major accomplishment I am proud of. 🙂
